The way it works now ... eDive used to be licensed on a calendar year basis. Meaning you were licensed to download any updates to the program which were released during the year in which you purchased or renewed your license. Example: If you renewed in March of 2006, you would be eligible to download and use any version released at any time in 2006. In that situation you would not be eligible to use any updates released in 2007, even if they were released in January, February or March of 2007. What we are changing to ... The licensing change we are implementing will allow you to download any updates released within 12 months of your purchase date or your last renewal date. Example: If you purchased (or renewed) your license on March 25th, 2006, you will be eligible to download and use any updates released from March 25th, 2006 through March 24th, 2007. This will give you a full 12 months of updates to download. If you have a valid 2006 license you will be emailed an updated license when the next release comes out in November so that you may download and use this new version. You will then be eligible to download updates for a full 12 months from your purchase/renewal date. New Catch-Up Pricing Policy We are officially implementing a new "catch-up pricing" policy as of November 1st, 2006. This policy applies to anyone who has let their maintenance lapse by more than 14 months. If your license or renewal was purchased more than 14 months ago, then when you renew, you will be subject to an additional $30 catch-up fee to bring your outdated software up to the current version. This catch-up fee is in addition to the normal license renewal fee. The 14 month window is for determining whether you owe the additional catch- up fee. You are still only eligible to download updates for 12 months from your last purchase/renewal date.
